Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR) gets a powerful upgrade
We've significantly expanded IDR’s capabilities to make document processing more efficient than ever. In addition to PDFs, you can now process BMP, JPG, and PNG files, giving you greater flexibility. IDR automatically maps information from your purchase orders into Cin7, creating pre-populated sales orders ready for your approval. This streamlined workflow dramatically reduces manual data entry and helps your team work more efficiently.

Enhanced financial management tools
Managing your finances just got easier with our improved integrations. Our new Synder integration automatically sends reconciliation information directly into Cin7 Core, creating a seamless connection with QuickBooks. This eliminates the need to manually compare transactions or toggle sync settings, saving you valuable time in your reconciliation process.
For our Avalara users, we've introduced auto-synchronization capabilities with customizable frequency and start time settings, giving you more control over your tax management workflow.
Streamlined e-commerce operations
We've made significant improvements to our Shopify integration to enhance visibility and control. Discounts from Shopify now appear as separate line items, making it easier to track promotional impacts and calculate taxes accurately. We've also added flexibility to how you receive tracking information, allowing you to customize whether tracking URLs include tracking numbers based on your preferred workflow.
Improved returns management
Just in time for the holiday return season; finding and processing returns from your e-commerce channels is now more straightforward than ever. The enhanced RMA portal includes a new search feature that lets you quickly locate returns using order reference numbers from platforms like Shopify, streamlining your returns management process.
Cin7 Omni updates: Enhanced flexibility and control
Refined Unit of Measure (UOM) pricing
We've made significant improvements to how Cin7 Omni handles Units of Measure, particularly for B2B sales. The system now incorporates UOM weights into freight calculations, ensuring more accurate shipping costs. We've also enhanced pricing flexibility by allowing percentage-off discounts to apply to alternative UOM sales through our CRM settings. For businesses requiring stricter pricing control, you can now disable alternative UOM pricing for specific products in your contract pricing settings.
Streamlined warehouse management
The WMS module now offers improved administrative tracking capabilities. You can add supplier invoice numbers and notes directly when receiving items, eliminating the need to switch between screens to maintain complete documentation. We've also enhanced the packing process by displaying both customer name and company in the 'Shipping to' field, making order fulfillment more efficient and reducing potential errors.
Expanded API capabilities
Our API suite has been expanded with powerful new endpoints to support more sophisticated integrations:
- The Products API now supports batch operations, allowing you to create or update up to 250 products at once with comprehensive details including names, codes, descriptions, options, pricing, and dimensions.
- A new ProductCategories endpoint streamlines category management, making it easier to organize your product catalog.
- The BranchTransfers API now supports both dispatch and receipt operations, facilitating smoother inter-branch inventory management.
Advanced accounting features
We've introduced more granular control over financial tracking with new accounting features. You can now allocate surcharges and discounts to specific accounts rather than having them combined with revenue accounts, providing clearer financial reporting. We've also refined how Cin7 Omni handles tax calculations on discounts, surcharges, and freight before syncing with QuickBooks Online and Xero, ensuring more accurate financial data across your systems.
