Cin7 Core Enhancements | 24th March, 2024

FEATURES: Pay supplier invoices with Settle, summarize sales invoices/credit notes into consolidated transactions for QBO, and more!

Feature 1: Pay supplier invoices with Settle

Impact area:

Purchase module

Introduction:

Announcing our new partnership with Settle to introduce the first Pay with Settle button for Cin7 Core users.

Settle is a trusted provider of powerful and secure payment products. A verified part of the Intuit ecosystem, Cin7 Core now allows QuickBooks Online merchants to pay their supplier invoices via Settle’s secure payment gateway.

Pay with Settle revolutionizes vendor payments by seamlessly integrating within Cin7 Core’s platform. Now, users can trigger bill payments without ever leaving their workflow, streamlining operations like never before.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in simplifying financial transactions and driving stronger connectivity for SMB consumer brands. With Pay with Settle, Cin7 Core users gain access to advanced AP automation tools and Settle Working Capital for optimized cash efficiency.

No additional user action is required to integrate your organization with Settle, this functionality is available automatically for Cin7 Core users integrated with QuickBooks online USA. This does not require an additional external integration in Cin7 Core.

Pre-conditions:

  • Currently only available for users integrated with QuickBooks USA

Functionality:

After processing the purchase to the invoice stage, merchants can now use Settle to pay their supplier invoices. Supplier invoices must be:

  • Authorized in Cin7 Core AND
  • Synced to QBO

When these conditions are met, the option to Pay with Settle will be enabled with the other supplier invoice payment options. If you see this option disabled, check your sync history and make sure the invoice has been synced to QBO.

Clicking Pay with Settle will redirect the user to Settle (you may need to log in or sign up). The rest of the payment workflow is completed in Settle, then the payment is synced back to QBO and Cin7 Core.

Feature 2: QBO – Summarize sales invoices/credit notes into consolidated transactions

Impact area:

QuickBooks Online integration

Introduction:

Core currently syncs sales invoices, credit notes and payments individually and maintains a link to the invoice created in QBO. Our customers and Core Partners gave us feedback that they wanted the ability to consolidate transactions and reduce the amount of information sent to QBO, e.g. sending instead of hundred of thousands of sales invoices, a handful of consolidated transactions with the equivalent COGS and payment information, to QBO.

Extra settings have been added to allow transactions to be consolidated into journal entries containing the same information, then synced to QBO. Consolidation can be turned on or off at the sales channel level.

Consolidated transactions only apply to sales, and cannot be applied to purchases.

Pre-conditions

  • QuickBooks Online users only

Functionality:

  • Go to Integrations → QuickBooks Online and select the Sync options section.
  • Go to the Transaction consolidation section. Enable the Consolidate transactions slider to display consolidation options.
  • Select a consolidation customer for the consolidated transactions.
  • Each synced channel has the option to select No sync, Individual, or Consolidated for both invoices and COGS.

Please see documentation for detailed information.
